Art is Activism and Community
As an artist, I focus on ideas that bring community and cultural connections together. In order to do so, I started doing art dinner showcases and art auction fundraiser events to allow more opportunities for artist in Charlotte and bring cultural connections.
Noche PUERto Rico
On October 2026, I collaborated with PSL Charlotte and the Bori Collective to put together a fundraising art auction for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico has dealt with a water and electricity crisis since Hurricane Maria in 2017, however due to drought and pipeline ruptures the water crisis continues to worsen. I hope to continue this work ever year in hopes to help relieve the ongoing situation.
Art Dinner Showcase
On May 2026, I decided to collaborate with La India Cuisine to create an art dinner showcase. The idea of this concept is to provide intentional networking opportunities for artist, allow for art enthusiast around Charlotte to get to know local artists and share a meal with them by a local chef. This was the first one, but I’m working towards collaborating with another local chef to make this event a rotational artist opportunity three times a year.
